Death
It reminds us of our vulnerability
Of the need for our Maker to bestow breath upon us
Time doesn’t change reality
He’s still dead
He’s not coming back
Grief isn’t linear
It’s not easy, and sometimes it’s not hard
Moments of joy
Moments of hope
Memories laced with happiness
Ribbons of sadness wrapped around the heart
Arms linger longer, wrapped in a reminder that you are held
Held in the arms of friends and family
Held in the arms of the Father
Grieving among the grief of others
Letting go of what you can’t control
Submitting your life, your plans, feelings and emotions to the One who knows your end from your beginning
Maker of all, of everything
