Always a way back home

Life and death are in the tongue

That means with every word, you speak life or death

Every word has the power to build or destroy

Be mindful before the sound from your mouth deploys

It can bring misery or joy

You have control over your own emotions

You can’t control others, but you can control how you respond

So use wisdom in your demeanour

Don’t judge

And don’t forget to tell others you love that you’re fond

You enjoy them and their time

That their love you hold dear

For tomorrow’s not promised

Those you love and hold dear and near

May not always be here

So cherish their presence

And don’t let little grievances annoy

Life is too short to let mere inconveniences steal your joy

May prayer be your posture

And joy be your song

And may peace be your portion

All your days long

Stay close to the heart of the Father

Don’t part to another

And remember to always seek the kingdom

For without it, our life is nothing

Lay everything down, leave it at the feet of the Father

And know that your life is forever and always in His hands

Trust – in the Most High alone

For He remains forever on the throne

His word is a light unto our path

If you don’t follow His word, don’t be surprised when you end up in the dark

But know that if you find yourself wandering in a place unknown

Lost in the dark, feeling alone

There is always a way back home

The Father always by your side, not far off

Healing begins in your broken

This place where you are – it won’t last that way forever

But nothing will change if you hold onto your life

You gain living when you let go

You stay dead when you hold on

Know that when you choose wrong, you can always start over

You can always change direction
