Baptism
The beginning, not the end
A fresh start
All sins washed away
A new creation
Yet why am I still the same
A daily walk
Effort involved
In a years time, progress evident, a heart to yield to repent
He’s moulding us and shaping us
A journey we are on
With long days and not long enough days
With outbursts and mistakes
With victories and praise
With defeats and retreats
Lessons learned
And lessons learned and learned again
And lessons that need to be drilled down deep and put repeatedly on repeat
He is gentle and patient, and at times very stern
A loving Father, He disciplines those He loves
A lack of correction is a lack of growth and will give you no direction
He directs us on the path to life
His word an instruction manual, it is to be our ever-faithful guide
Words of life
Words of truth
Words of strength
Words of peace
Words of wisdom
Words of understanding
How simple our lives would be if we followed the word to a T
Yet, I will continue to be ever so grateful for His love and mercy
Joy and life come from the word, our Messiah
Hope and peace found in His counsel
Never alone
Through the word it is shown
The stones of those who journeyed before us
Their faith and their lack thereof
He parts seas
And He brings grown men to their knees
He makes our weakness our strength
And our strength we are to find in Him
For on our own, we will not succeed
Success is not as the world sees, but as the word declares
For success is to trust in YHWH
For Him alone to be on the throne
There is no other way to live a life that does not lead to decay
So hear His words written by His people
Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness
It is His word that matters
Messiah, the way, the truth, and the life
I have no other message to relay
