"I hope we are all old and still seeing each other, sitting by fireplaces with grandkids running around. Let's not hope, let's just do."
"I hope we are all old and still seeing each other, sitting by fireplaces with grandkids running around. Let's not hope, let's just do."

Journeying back to familiar places

With wonderful faces

Friendships kindled and growing into lasting embers

I hope we are all old and still seeing each other, sitting by fireplaces with grandkids running around

Let’s not hope, let’s just do

We say the words that need to be said

We give the hugs that need to be felt

And we make space for the tears to be shed

Although it’s still not always easy to do the shedding

Friendships can change a person

They can last a season or a lifetime

These are lifetime friends

Growing into the person Yah’s made you to be, kind of friends

Share your hopes and dreams, kind of friends

Share what terrifies you and sits on your soul heavy, kind of friends

Showing up when you don’t know if you can do this anymore, kind of friends

Friends who will walk with you

Share in your burdens and magnify your joys

Friends who hold you accountable and say the hard things

Road trips and fun times

Journeys still to be had, a many, Yah willing

Peer deep into your soul, kind of friends

Knowing the you that not many get the pleasure of knowing

Grounded and rooted in something that’s fruited

Fruits of the Spirit, what we are trying to gain

Not accolades for ourselves, but to bring glory to Your name

We’re on the same mission

On the same path

May our hope always last

And may our anchor forever remain not in ourselves

But forever and always in One Name

The name of our Messiah, Yahshua HaMashiach

For it’s in Him we live and in Him we die

Dying to ourselves, not desired, but the path required

When we lay down of ourselves, His burden light we carry, His yoke easy to bear

Not in our own strength do we walk

Not on our own will do we lean

But we rest in a faith that others have rested in before

Life can be messy, no matter what path you choose

But there are many ways to lose life everlasting

And one narrow path

Not a leisurely stroll, but a focused and determined walk

For if we lose sight of the heartbeat of our lives, quickly down the slippery slope of pride we will slide

It’s not in our own strength or in our works that we survive

But in a death and resurrection that happened long ago

A tale to some

But the firm truth that our lives are grounded on

So, choose this day whom you will serve

As for my house and me, we will serve YHWH

And only in the death of His son do I have access to my Creator

He tore the veil

There is only one way

It is narrow and straight

But the path to destruction is wide

Many people thought they were on the narrow path

And didn’t take the time to question if in the world they had put their hope

Looking like those around them, rather than like the Saviour they claimed to have served

As for me and my house

Where do you stand?

And where do your friends stand?

Because whatever house your friends are standing in is the one in which you will abide

Do your friends stand with the Saviour or against Him?

Answer truthfully

Weed out the main influences in your life ruthlessly

Your salvation is at stake

For those you surround yourself with will remind you of the truth and remind you to remain

Or will slowly and unnoticeably lead you astray

To a place you never thought you’d be

Having you claim you are walking with Him

Not realizing you are walking apart from Him

No longer set apart

But leading you down a path that is apart from Him

Choose this day who your friends will be

For they will have an everlasting impact

Choose this day whom you will serve

And don’t think your friends aren’t influencing who that is

As for me and my friends, we will serve YHWH
