Count the Cost

There's a war going on

Two women

One true destiny

What you feed, you become

Small habits lead to outcomes

Desired or not, you prime the path through daily actions

Hope

Hope when it feels like there's nothing worth hoping for

For we walk by faith and not by sight

Life costs

Pain costs

Joy costs

Faith costs

We're in a spiritual deficit

In the last days

Yet I can't seem to give up my life

It's a war that's been waged

Yet surrender is the only path to freedom

There's a path I am on

A way I must continue

So... was it the way I thought it would be -

No

Is it exactly how it's supposed to be

I sure hope so

I don't have answers

I just know the One who does

Yet so often I don't ask

I keep the book closed

I forget the truth it offers

I keep my lips shut

And prayers sit silent in my belly, waiting to be released
