Sabbath
A day of precious rest
Given to us by the Most High above
To delight
Not to lose sight
For our hope does not come from this world
The world goes on – as we take pause
As we recognize where our help comes from
From above
Never alone
A day for oneg “delight”
Delighting in His community, in fellowship
In His word
Studying what He declared generations before
Still true to this day
Some might not believe
To that I say, pray
Pray for His mercy, that your heart He would change
Now there’s still time
Time to turn and repent
To be baptized, have our sins washed away
To be renewed and reborn
For His love do we stay
And surrender all and walk in His way
For there’s no better life
Then the one laid down
The life not lived for the body we’re in
But to the spirit we belong to
A Father who gave freely
Who sacrificed who’s most near
A son who came to set free
A son who sacrificed it all – everything – for you
That’s the peace we pursue
The joy we cling to
The hope we live in
We live for a kingdom unknown and known
Unknown to those who live for the world
Known to those who live and hope for it
And the reality of it in the heavens above
On earth as it is in heaven
That’s the prayer that heaven would come to earth
One day, this earth will pass away
And that will become true
His Kingdom will forever reign
Whether you pledge allegiance or not
But one day you will bow
One day, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess to Elohim
He’s given us grace in the interim, an opportunity to choose
Choose surrender
For in giving up your very life, you will find it
And true freedom will be your portion
Not the counterfeit liberation the world gives
Doing whatever you feel like doing and living however you feel like living
With your pleasures and desires foremost, leaving you broken and alone
A King has triumphed and declared victory
So we patiently wait and prepare for the return of our King
Are you ready for when He comes back?
Are you living a life of purpose?
What have you placed your hope in?
Only One can save
All other paths lead to death
Choose life and find abundance on the other side of surrender
That’s where true freedom lies
When you let go of what’s holding you
When you let go of your deepest desires
When you stop running
When you stop trying to fill the void
Know your soul is only looking for one thing
There is only one solution to life’s fulfillment
That is our Saviour, King of the universe
Son, most kadosh “set-apart” one, sitting at the right hand of the Father
For there is only One who gives life to all
From dust He made us and breathed His life into us
The source of life, the sustainer of life, breathed into us
From dust we come, to dust we shall return
We are finite, He is infinite
We are here for but a moment, He has existed throughout eternity
He made thee
And has provided the path to life
To set you free
Count the cost and abide in He
